Local Crime Reports                                                                                                                                                         Downton NPT - July 2010

The list below provides a summary of recent local crimes, organised by Parish from 1st June to 30th June 2010.  It is not possible to list all the crimes due to confidentially issues (e.g. if the crime was violent or for domestic disputes). 

Britford - total of 5 reported crimes at Salisbury District Hospital complex – no other reported crime.

 

Coombe Bissett/Homington  -

130610  – Burglary – compound in Drove Lane, C/B– offenders gained entry to container unit and stole power tools

 

Downton – (total of 6 reported crimes in this period)

020610 – Theft – Lode Hill, Downton – offenders gained entry to yard and stole diesel from tank

050610 – Criminal Damage – Witherington Down, Standlynch – offenders dumped and set fire to sofa’s causing fire damage to 30 young trees

080610 – Burglary – Pound Lane, Charlton-All-Saints – offenders forced door to storage units and stole steel racking/ trays etc

210610 – Theft – Lode Hill – offenders entered commercial premises and siphoned diesel from tank

 

Odstock – no reported crimes in this period

 

Redlynch  – (total of 7 reported crimes in this period)

210610 – Burglary –Church Hill, Lover – (during 2 month period) – offenders entered garage and stole hedge trimmer

220610 – Criminal Damage – Hamptworth Road, Hamptworth – offenders smashed windows of 2 vehicles parked overnight, possibly using catapult or similar – other damage nearby in Landford – forms part of ongoing series across South Wiltshire area

Police Surgeries/ Consultations

Coombe Bissett – Local police will be available at the Community Coffee morning at Coombe Bissett church every Wednesday between 11am and 12. We are not just there for the excellent coffee and biscuits! Please take the opportunity to come along and discuss local Policing issues, report any ongoing problems or simply have a chat with one of your local officers. 

 

Downton – An agreement has now been finalised to allow Downton NPT officers to use a small office within Downton Library. As part of our use of this office, we intend to hold two ‘Police surgery’ sessions each week where local people can access local NPT officers (full details of the first surgery dates will be circulated as soon as known).

 

Homington – A local NPT officer will attend the coffee morning at Homington Church between 1030am-1130am on Sat 10th July. We will aim to regularly attend these events which are held each month.

 

Woodfalls - A member of the team will be available in the shop/ Post Office between 9am-10am every Monday morning. Please come along and discuss local Policing issues, report any ongoing problems or simply have a chat with one of your local Policing team. Please let us know if you wish to discuss issues in private, we have access to a room at the rear of the shop.
