Buses around Redlynch Village:
Although we invited Mr Jim Bell and his Manager from Wilts and Dorset Bus Company to our meetings on many occasions unfortunately they were never able to attend, we have now received news which may have a large impact upon a large number of residents in our Parish. We have been requesting that the W & D Pulse line bus which now only travels one way around the village should revert to alternating, to allow residents to reach Woodfalls from Lover for example.
We have now been led to believe that the service to Redlynch, which is provided by an extension of their Pulseline service, (which otherwise operates entirely within Salisbury, between Bemerton Heath and the Hospital.) will be altered and this service, will only run between Bemerton Heath and the Hospital, and will no longer extend to Downton and Redlynch.
Wilts & Dorset are now talking to Wiltshire Council about how best to serve Redlynch after the change, which they intend to make in February 2010, and do not plan to change the service in the meantime.
Phil Groocock at Wiltshire Council is the officer responsible for bus services under its control and the Parish Council urges any worried Parishioners to make their concerns known to Phil at the following;
